From our As-Found Dept. An original 1930 Gibson TB-1 tenor banjo with full-thickness rim, converted to 5-String by unknown professional banjo-neck maker. The neck has little or no playing wear. An interesting and plain version of Vega's famous Whyte Laydie #2 banjo. Stamped "Fairbanks Banjo by The Vega Co". All original banjo except for the older set of planetary geared pegs. Good neck, a little playing wear in the first position, with the odd ding and scratch typical of a well-treated but well-played 110 year-old instrument. Hard Case. I love playing this banjo!

This Mastertone features Gibson's 1980 huge improvement in Banjo construction: Instead of the multi-ply plywood rim they used for about 16 years previously, now the rims were 5-ply Maple. Schireson’s Hollywood ukuleles were built by Robert E. Pearson, an English luthier who was once a well-known banjo-uke builder and also had worked for Martin Guitar prior to moving out to California to build for the Schireson Bros. I am not A ukulele player, but this one seems quite good. There are a couple of small cracks in the back that have been addressed.
