I grew up in the 70's, graduated high school 1976. Great days and great music. This was a common sight, take a Les Paul Deluxe down to Reliable Music in Charlotte and have full sized humbuckers installed. I still have a 1969 Goldtop that had the bridge pickup replaced with a DiMarzio PAF in 1976, and the pickup sounded so great it is still there. This is a solid beast of a guitar, at 10 pounds 11 ounces, rings for days and has a set of Gibson Patent Number Stamped pickups. One pickup looks like April 1979, the other May 197?. The pots are 10th week 1976, looks like replaced caps. Original frets with minimal wear, and plays and sounds great. Cosmetically it looks good, with enough wear you won't be afraid to strap it on and rock out. It did not come with a pick guard, but I have a cream repro that is included, and new pickguard brackets will be here Tuesday, and one of those is included as well. It has a n 80's/90's brown Gibson case. The machine heads were replaced with Grovers, which feel good and to me are an improvement. Nice weather checking pattern. Ready to boogie!
Thanks for looking!
