1976 Gibson Les Paul Custom LEFT HANDED cherry sunburst

Wow! Pretty clean, pretty stock and 9 pounds 13 ounces! We have never had a left handed Les Paul this clean, and we have had a few. Patent stamped pickups, and the pots code at 0something week of 1976 so an early one, early enough to still have an ABR-1 style bridge. Some light fret wear, but nothing really to point to and explain away. Plays really well and is lighter than most. The purple lined case is overall in good shape, no logo, no smells, and all the latches and handle work fine. It does have a few scuffs and some stickers, as cases are prone to do.

The guitar itself it pretty clean- there are light scratches here and there, nothing major, the gold on the pickups is all there and shiny, with some light wear. As mentioned above there is some light fret wear on the first 3 or 4 frets, but not bad and doesn't interfere with anything. First fret is .81, 12th .97 and nut width is 1.69. Very comfortable neck. There are some marks under the finish on the back of the neck, like maybe the back of the neck sat on something in the case and it interacted with the finish- you can't feel them, and they did not want to rub out. The strap button beside the neck was gone, and it had one of those folded leather strap lock devices, which we removed and put in the case. I did not have an old gold Gibson strap button, but had a nickel one that we installed, and that is the only thing I can point to and say isn't straight. None of the solder joints look disturbed. It's not perfect, I would say 8.5 to 9 out of 10, a local buddy who is a wheeler dealer guy, and young enough to have grown up with Norlin Les Paul's gave it a solid 9.5 and he is pickier than me. This isn't just the best left handed example I have had, it is one of the best 1970's Les Paul's I have had, and we have been here 40 years this year. Thanks for looking.
