Gibson Custom Shop 2010 Collectors Choice #1 Melvyn Franks 1959 Les Paul Aged Gary Moore

This is the rare "Collectors Choice Melvyn Franks Aged" model, the first of 125 pieces produced as a Collectors Choice commemorative model.

This is a reproduction of the famous 1959 Les Paul, also known as "Greeny", that Gary Moore received from Peter Green in 1970,
Tom Murphy's amazing aging process has recreated the look and feel of the original Les Paul, including the butterscotch finish, weather checks, peeling paint, and dents that have a soothing atmosphere with faded reddish tones.

The top is made from flame maple with a fine and even grain, and the specs are the same as the original instrument, including Spurzel tuning pegs, bridge volume/tone controls replaced with metal hat knobs, and screw holes with the pickguard removed.

The pickups are Out Of Phase wired Burstbucker #3 on the neck and Burstbucker #2 on the bridge.

The frets are only slightly worn on the low position portion of the plain strings, and the neck and rods are in good condition.
