[Overview.]
Vincent Buck B.♭Trumpet. Gold brass one-piece 37 bell steel wire bead. ml bore. Silver plated finish. Removable Clifford Blackburn made Lewisville reed pipe (19-348). Main tuning pipe is round-crook design. Instrument weight 1119 grams. Serial number 46xxx, made in 1996. No accessories. Sold as body only.

[Condition.]
The mouthpiece receiver and leadpipe have been replaced with Louisville ones. The front and rear Z-posts connecting the bell, the braze with the valve casing, and the tuning/receiver pipe side posts have been modified so that the leadpipes can be replaced; the three fixing screws are made by Yamaha; the stopper rod of the No. 3 insert pipe has been removed from its base and a Yamaha insert type stopper screw and base have been installed. The stopper screw and pedestal are also made by Yamaha. The receiver and mouthpipe are extensively missing plating, as well as the tuning receiver tube, valve casing, and the lower center of the bell stem. The bell stem and bell flare are dotted with small indentation repair marks. Pipe has been cleaned, soft mono replaced(*), and various parts serviced and inspected.
The inner felt of the piston is made of pressed felt that we order for Bach. The thickness of the felt has been fine-tuned to suit the individual.

Bach B♭A customized version of the trumpet's standard long-selling Model 37 Gold Brass Bell with a reed pipe built in by Clifford Blackburn, who was renowned for his Buck tuning. Thanks to the previous owner's bold spirit of challenge. It would be interesting to try modifying pipes from various makers to meet these specifications.
