90年代Vanzadtのフレットレスモディファイベース！
ピックアップ・ブランドとして、ヴィンテージ・レプリカからモダンなモデルまで高い評価を受けるVanzandt(ヴァンザント)。ベース本体の製作は、国産ブランドMoon等をはじめ、ギター/ベースの製作を手がける国産老舗工房PGM製です。
1996年製の本機は、ローズ指板、アルダーボディにVanZandt J/Jのピックアップを搭載したオーソドックスなJBをフレットレスにモディファイされた1本です。
サンバーストでピックガードなし、メタルノブという仕様なので、Jaco Pastoriusが使用していたモデルを意識したモディファイであると考えられます。
シンプルなジャズベースタイプだからこそ、国産老舗工房としての拘りと質の良さが感じられる逸品。
深く温かみのあるサウンドながら、中高音域の抜けの良さがあり、初めてのフレットレスベースとしても扱いやすい1本です！
