2008 Taylor GA Custom “Grafted Walnut Heart” NAMM Guitar. Condition is "Used". This is simply a one of a kind, extraordinary instrument! This was a NAMM show display guitar, it’s made with an exceptionally nice Adirondack/Red Spruce top and a super figured Walnut back and sides. The back is made from a super special piece of figured walnut that has a perfect “Heart” figure in its center! This back is from a walnut tree that started off life as an American Walnut tree that was later “Grafted” with an English Walnut tree when it no longer yielded walnuts. Apparently when this grove no longer yielded walnuts it was purchased by Taylor for use as guitars. This is one of the special backs that show right where the English Walnut was expertly grafted into the American Walnut tree (look right at the top of the “Heart”) and you can see it! Just an absolutely stunning instrument in mint, investment grade condition! It also has a 900 series bridge and an upgraded truss rod cover with abalone inlay, original is also included.
