1980年代の初めニューヨークにあるRudy’s Musicで働き初め、ルディー・ペンザと共同のブランドPensa-Suhrではエリック・クラプトンやピーター・フランプトン等、名だたるミュージシャンのギター製作を手掛けます、
その後カスタム・オーディオにてアンプの製作や、フェンダー・カスタム・ショップのシニア・マスタービルダーを経験、1997年に自身のメーカーであるSuhr Guitarsを立ち上げ、マイケル・ランドウ等、多くのミュージシャンから支持を集めるハイエンドメーカーへと成長しています。
このプロ・シリーズは小ぶりなボディや細身なネックでとことんプレイやビリティを追求して製作されたモデル。
アルダーをボディ材に使用し、温かみのある良質なボディ鳴りを生み出します。ネックは細身なCシェイプネック、フレットはジャンボフレットで抜群の演奏性能を誇ります。
ピックアップにはシングルコイルにマイケル・ランドウの為に開発されたMLを、ハムバッキングピックアップにはダグ・アルドリッチのために開発されたAldrich Humbuckerピックアップを装備。
リアの歪ませた時の太く強いサウンドとは裏腹に、シングルコイルのサウンドでは軽いタッチで美しい音色を奏でるシングルサウンドまでを、網羅し、非常に幅広く扱えるギター。
自身のポテンシャルは楽器によっても引き出されます「あの時思い切って買ってよかった!」と自信の成長と共に思って頂けるギターです。
