Selmer tenor saxophone, Serie 3 black lacquer finish with engraved pattern. Includes: genuine hard case, made in 1999. List price: 1,226,500 yen.
[Condition.]
This is a one-owner unit that has been carefully handled by a one-owner since New purchase. There is a small dent on the side of the neck with a repair mark. Lacquer peeling seems to have occurred during repair, and nail polish has been applied. There is no neck pull-down. The factory had not installed a ring on the tip of the neck when it was shipped from the factory, but a gold-plated ring (genuine Selmer part) has been installed at our store.
All keys disassembled and cleaned, all tampos (using genuine CHANU domed metal resonator), corks and felts replaced, overhauled and adjusted.
[Features and Attractions]
Serie 3 tenor was first released in 1997, so this is an early model. The additional gold-plated ring on the tip of the neck adds to the tone's cohesiveness, and even when the pedal is firmly pressed down, the sound is powerful without breaking down. This is probably the first and last chance to get an early Model 3 black lacquer tenor.
