Description
Summary: As a songwriter, guitarist, and producer J.D. Simo has worked with the likes of Jack White, Tommy Emmanuel, Luther Dickinson, Dave Cobb, Blackberry Smoke, and has also been a member of Grateful Dead founder Phil Lesh' "Phil & Friends". This fantastic RS Guitarworks Slab ’59 was owned, played, and loved by J.D. It has tons of real wear and a psychedelic painting by the man himself. It has a chunky neck that feels great, and the pickups are clear and articulate.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has not been relic’d. The wear on this guitar is from J.D. Simo playing it over the years. It has tons of scratches, dings, and scuffs. The back of the neck has dings and dents, and the headstock shows signs of wear around the edges. The frets show minimal wear. This guitar plays and sounds fantastic.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
