Description

Now available on consignment, a 1965 Rickenbacker 6-string Rose Morris 1997 in its original fireglo finish!

This particular example comes from the 'EJ' serial number range, which was probably among a batch of guitars sent to Australia in 1965.

As you can see its been kept in fantastic condition for one of these, having little to no fade to the red of the sunburst, and NO breaks or repairs whatsoever. The only things to note are a few dings, and a replacement/reissue accent vibrato unit.

The original frets show little wear, and it plays very well thanks to a recent setup by Sydney luthier Piers Crocker. The neck angle is good as well, showing no signs of movement whatsoever. It plays with a low action at the 12th fret, and has a decent break angle over the bridge.

Other than the vibrato, most of the original parts remain including both Toaster pickups, the original knobs and floating pickguard, double line Kluson deluxe tuners, bridge, and bridge cover. The wiring harness remains untouched with all 4x CTS pots dating to late '64, and '65.

A clean and great playing example of a 6-string Rose Morris 1997. Dont miss this one!

Includes its original case with Rickenbacker badge, strap, and an old Rickenbacker/Guild flyer.
