1993 National Duolian Grey Burst
Grey Burst, EX. Willies was one of the first dealers of the new National Resophonic Guitar Company when they opened the factory in 1990. For the first two years you could only get wood bodied instruments. That makes this one of the earliest steel bodies. Back then Don Young McGregor and Marie Gaines were heroes. We remember them saying they learned how to spin the aluminum resonator cones from the 93 year old John Dopyrea himself. Maybe some of you remember our resonator festivals from the late 90’s?
This guitar with its big stable neck is very resonant. The neck adds to the resonance. This really sounds great too. The neck is straight as an arrow after 32 years and comes with the original hard case.
