This circa 1938 Gibson Console Grande is a rare and stunning example of Gibson's early double 8-string lap steel guitars, featuring a gorgeous sunburst finish over an incredible figured maple body. As one of the earliest introductions of this model, it holds a special place in Gibson's history. The guitar is in very nice condition for its age, showing careful preservation. It comes housed in a striking Charlie Christian-style striped tweed hard case. Original hard case included. Condition: Excellent.
