Horace Silver Group of (5) Blue Note LP Vinyl Records. A small stack of vintage Blue Note pressings featuring the jazz pianist great, Horace Silver. Lot includes: 1) The Cape Verdean Blues (BLP 4220). Has "Van Gelder" and Plastylite "ear" on the disc. The sleeve is in VG-EX 6 condition (especially due to corner wear) and the disc is in EX 7 condition (due to a stain mark and superficial marks); 2) Further Explorations by the . . . (BLP 1589). An early repress with "RVG" and Plastylite "ear" on "Deep Groove" labels. The sleeve is in VG-EX 6.5 condition (especially due to corner wear and discoloration) and the disc is in VG-EX 6 condition (due to scratches and scuffing); 3) Song for My Father (BST 84185). A later 1960s stereo pressing. Does not have "RVG" or Plastylite "ear." Has "A Division of Liberty Records." The sleeve is in VG 5 condition (due to ring wear and edge wear, with a light curve on the cover) and the disc is in VG-EX 6.5 condition (due to light spindle wear and scuffing); 4) Silver's Serenade (BLP 4131). A mono repress with no "Deep Groove" labels, "Van Gelder," or Plastylite "ear" on disc. The sleeve is in EX 7 condition (due to corner bumps and foxing) and the disc is in EX 7.5 condition (due to faint marks and foxing on labels); 5) The Tokyo Blues (BLP 4110). An original mono pressing. Does not have "Deep Groove" labels, "Van Gelder," or Plastylite "ear" on the disc. The sleeve is in VG-EX 6.5 condition (due to foxing and corner wear) and the disc is in EX 7 condition (due to scratches). COA from Heritage Auctions.
