Description
1930 Martin OM-28 in great condition. Adirondack spruce top, Brazilian rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck, ebony belly bridge, ebony fingerboard, Style 28 appointments, and a nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Featuring 14-frets clear of the body, a 1 3/4" wide nut, a soft V neck profile, bar frets, and the forward scalloped x-bracing appropriate for the period. This guitar has two neatly repaired side cracks which have cloth reinforcement, as well a high quality reproduction bridge. The original bridge plate is present. At some point in its history this guitar was converted from the original banjo tuners to slightly later 1930s right angled tuners, the A string tuner differs slightly from the others. The original finish is largely intact beneath a thin overspray of nitrocellulose lacquer, with the exception of an area below the bridge where the original finish has been sanded through.  This guitar has had a high quality neck reset and is an excellent player with its original bar frets. Scale length is 25.4". Neck profile is 0.82" at the 1st fret, 0.95" at the 10th fret. Weight is 3.55lbs. Comes with the original hardshell case.
