Description

Magnificently loud scallop braced 1944 00-18 from the first half of 1944. No cracks anywhere!!! This 00-18 has the original bridge, plate, and tuners. Scratch below the bridge is not apparent unless you know it's there. Original finish, but thin nitro overspray- probably because of the scratch.. The Brothers performed a neck set and re-fretted the neck in addition to installing a passive K & K pickup with 1/8" vintage jack. The tone and vibration of this guitar is addictive. Loud and very sensitive to bare fingers. It is short scale, 1-11/16" nut , nicely rounded neck carve, and ready to play. Action is 3x2 at the 12th fret. Modern hard shell Martin case. The weight is about 3 lbs, 1oz - light as the proverbial magic feather...These are going up in price- I saw 3 in Nashville at a big guitar store $13,500-$17,000 and they were not perfect!!!
