The drive sound with LED clipper is truly Marshall's lineage. It was said at the time, "Even a JC (Jazz Chorus) can sound like a Marshall! The Governor" was said at the time, "Even JC (Jazz Chorus) can sound like Marshall! I remember it was used by Akira Takasaki at that time and became a big hit. The midrange has a nice, smooth, and glossy feel to it, even with the intensity of the sound. The 3-band EQ with a large variable range allows a high degree of freedom in sound creation. It is equipped with an Effect-Loop (Send & Return) jack that is linked to the Bypass switch on the unit, and can be connected to otherEffectorcan be connected to this unit.
The original governor released in 1988 was made in England, and the reissued governor in 1998 was made in Korea. The same original British governor has a green board in the early years, but a blue board in the later years. The British governor was equipped with a Motorola or Texas Instruments TL072CP (or TL072C) op amp, while the Korean reissue was equipped with a JRC 072BD (or 072D). Comparing the sound of the Korean reissue with the British original, the British original has a thicker sound with rich low midrange. In contrast, the Korean reissue has a stronger high frequency range and a little less low midrange.
It is in collector's condition with almost no signs of use!
