アイバニーズの歴史を彩ったベースの復刻モデル
明治時代に創業が始まった星野楽器が1950年代に立ち上げたブランドIbanez。1962年よりエレキギターの本格的な製造、販売をスタートさせ輸出を主体にアメリカ、ヨーロッパをはじめ世界各国に展開していき、日本のエレキギターの驚異的な技術力の発展と共にフェンダーやギブソン等の本国のエレキギターにも引けを取らない完成度で世界にブランドの知名度が知れ渡ります。
初期のラインナップはトラディショナルなコピースタイルでしたが、その後、独自のアイデアを盛り込みオリジナルモデルの開発を進め、1970年代には様々なオリジナル・シリーズが誕生致しました。
このミュージシャンシリーズもそのオリジナルモデルの中の一つで、海外ではスティングやマイク・ポーカロなど、多くの有名ベーシストが使用した事でも知られています。
そんな1980年代のオリジナルモデルを踏襲して製作されたモデルがこのMC824 80s Custom Legend。ルックスはそのままですが、ボルトオン構造を採用し、音の立ち上がりの速さも特徴。アクティブ/パッシブの切り替えスイッチも装備し、アクティブ時点でのトレブル/ベースのコントロールも可能です。
重量感のあるボディで基本ローの太さがある個体。ベーシストには馴染みの無いトグルスイッチによるピックアップの切り替えですが、慣れれば曲によって使い分けも簡単に行える扱いやすいベースです
