Now available on consignment, a 1979 Ibanez George Benson model in its original natural finish with gold hardware.
This is an early example of the Ibanez George Benson signature model, featuring an ebony fingerboard with MOP inlays, a bound neck and body with bound f-holes, and 2x mini-humbucking pickups.
Typical to this model there is some binding rot which has been stable in the last few years, with the worst areas being around the neck heel and the back of the body by the upper bout.
The pickguard is also a replacement due to the tortoiseshell deteriorating, and the neck pickup lead has been replaced as well.
Otherwise the only other replaced part is a Nashville style bridge for better intonation. All other parts appear untouched, and other than the binding the guitar is in good condition overall. The guitar has recently been setup with 10-46 strings and is ready to play!
Includes its original flight case.
