Freshly inspected and set up in-house by our esteemed Guitar Tech. In Very Good condition with modest wear for an instrument of this age, including light scratches, some finish hazing, and other minor evidence of handling and use. There is a cat decal on the back of the headstock. Our Guitar Tech is a cat enthusiast and he thinks it's cool. You can decide for yourself.
Unlike the traditional fully hollow White Falcon, this model has a center block for increased sustain and reduced feedback. And the classy gloss Black finish combined with Silver appointments is eye catching onstage. See below for more details and specifications.
FROM GRETSCH:
The G6139T-CBDC Falcon Center-Block Double Cut-Away guitar features a beautiful 1 ¾"-deep double-cutaway three-ply maple body with a 16" lower bout, arched top and back, multi-ply sparkle appointments and oversized f holes. The centerpiece of the model is a long spruce center block.
The center block runs the entire length of the body and imparts several sonic advantages. First, it minimizes body-resonant feedback and enables a more "high gain-friendly" performance. Second, it's made of spruce, which produces a spirited, lively tone. Third, the center block itself is chambered at the lower bout to minimize weight. Fourth, the pinned wood bridge base extends over the sides of the center block about 5/8" on either side, transferring string-vibration energy to the two f-hole-vented body chambers to produce a rich and full-bodied tone.

NOTE TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS:
We want you to be happy with your purchase and we try to represent the condition of all used and vintage guitars as accurately as possible in our listings. Every used guitar shows some signs of play wear and vintage models even more so. We call out all areas of damage or unusual wear, and describe the overall condition based upon what is "normal" for the age of the instrument. Expect to see minor dings, finish checking, or other evidence of normal use and aging which may not be captured by photography or explicitly mentioned in the listing.
We recognize that everyone has their own personal standard of what constitutes acceptable wear and tear. If play wear is especially critical for you, please contact us at the Shop for a complete in-hand description and to answer any questions you may have. Your satisfaction is of paramount importance to us.
