1944 Martin D-28 Natural Acoustic Guitar, Serial #87607. The pre-war and wartime Martin D-28s are among the most revered acoustic guitars ever made. This 1944 Martin D-28 is an outstanding example of the highly sought-after herringbone-era D-28, renowned for its powerful tone and legendary craftsmanship. The guitar remains in beautiful, unplayed condition, preserving its original character. It features original tuners with newer buttons, medium action with a very low saddle, and a re-glued bridge with three small, barely visible ebony pins extending into the original bridge plate. Structurally, the guitar has a 3-inch, tight but visible center seam crack on the top, along with a ½-inch tight crack near the bridge. Original hard case included. Condition: Excellent.
