Description

If you’re looking for an amazing-sounding bass with tons of patina, this 1966 Gibson Thunderbird II in its original aged finish is the one for you! This particular bass sounds exceptional, with such an intensely full boom with each note. Even unplugged, you can tell this instrument fully resonates with whatever is being played. The former owners must’ve agreed, as it’s certainly been played and taken around over the years, as evidenced by the finish wear and wild finish checking throughout. You can even see some of the blue on the back of the neck where it has been played in for a super slick feel. The finish is flakey, and more fragile in some areas than others. The finish by the serial number most likely flaked off or was chipped off to read it. Despite this, the bass is entirely original and is free from any modifications or repairs.

Overall Condition: 6.5, playwear, patina, flakey finish
