1956 Gibson Les Paul TV Special
Now available, a great example of an original 1956 Gibson Les Paul TV Special!
As you can see this example is in pretty decent shape for nearly 70 years old, with some yellowing to the original finish along with some finish checking and buckle rash. There are NO breaks or repairs, and the original small Gibson frets play surprisingly well despite some play wear.
Work to the guitar includes:
At some point a trapeze tailpiece was fitted to the guitar (evidenced by the 3 holes by the strap button). There is currently a Music City bridge installed for better intonation, the original aluminium tailpiece is included.
Another jackplate was fitted at some stage, a period 50s part is now installed.
The tuners are exact period correct replacements with brass posts and original buttons, there is no evidence of any other style of tuner being in installed.
Otherwise the guitar retains most of its original parts including both of its original soapbar p90s, plastics, and all 4x centralab pots with the wiring harness appearing untouched.
