1980 Gibson Les Paul Heritage Standard-80

The Heritage Series was Gibson’s first real attempt to recreate the 1959 Les Paul Standard Burst and this 1980 was one of the first. All original and in excellent condition this Les Paul has Shaw PAFs and sounds amazing, especially the neck pickup.

The body and neck are look and feel great and what a top! I have to say that these Heritage series Les Pauls and different unlike many, this top isn’t overly flamey or quilted like many others.

The sound is fantastic with the new (at the time) Shaw PAFs Humbuckers. Gibson started making these in 1980 when Tim Shaw was brought in and showed them how they used to do it.
