This faithfully relic'd R9 Les Paul is one of many excellent guitars from the folks over at Gibson's Murphy Lab. Not only is it an excellently crafted reproduction of what started the "burst" Les Pauls from today, the Murphy Lab has carefully examined and inspected the wear and tear of real 1959 Les Pauls, creating a very close replication of a real player's grade vintage Les Paul. Being a relic, wear is a little bit harder to judge, but if you're buying a relic, isn't wear and tear part of the charm? Fret wear is minimal up and down the neck, and this guitar has seemed to have been well kept.
