Now available on consignment, a stunning example of a transitional 1969 Gibson Les Paul Custom!
This is one of the nicest late 60s customs ive seen of late, having had NO breaks or repairs, and with the original finish remaining untouched. Specifications include a 1-piece body, and a 3-piece neck with the shorter neck tenon and no headstock volute.
The guitar remains in almost original condition, with the exception of the abr1 bridge being a later reissue part. Otherwise all of the hardware remains including the original waffleback kluson tuners, lightweight gold plated aluminium tailpiece, screws, and strap buttons.
The wiring harness appears completely untouched with all 4x CTS pots dating to the 29th week of '69. Both original patent # pickups have never been out of the guitar, however the pickup covers were removed at some point and are now back on.
There are some dings and bucklerash from play, as well as wear to the gold plated hardware. The original fretless wonder frets are still present, and play surprisingly well despite not being suitable for bending notes.
A lightweight and great sounding example of an original 1969 Gibson Les Paul Custom that has survived in decent shape. Includes a non original hardcase.
