1954 Gibson Les Paul Gold Top

Just in to the store is a gorgeous all original 1954 Gibson Les Paul Gold top. This guitar is one of the best looking, playing and sounding Gold tops we've had in the shop. The checking and patina on this guitar is absolutely gorgeous.

When the Les Paul guitar was introduced in 1952 it had a trapeze bridge and a shallow neck pitch. By 1954, Gibson had replaced the Les Paul with a wraparound tail piece and fixed the neck issues. The introduction of the wrap around bridge cannot be understated. We believe you can get a much bigger and fuller sound, even more than a later tune-o-matic bridge.

The '54 features a gold top finish, wraparound tail piece, two killer sounding P90 pickups and Kluson tuners. There is a reason so many famous guitar players have gravitated to this wonderful instrument, because is one of the best guitars ever made! Comes with the original hardshell case.
