1941 Gibson J 55 Sunburst

Part one of a series...
A few years ago I spotted this guitar at a Dallas guitar show and was rather put off by the appearance and continued my brisk stroll, as one would. Fast forward to later, my friend Will at Thunder Road guitars proudly displayed this travesty at his guitar show booth as I continued in my ignorant, ignoring ways. When even later I casually did pick up the guitar in a quiet contemplative moment, I realized how wrong I had been all along. As usual when picking up a Gibson flat top from 1941, I realized "THIS IS THE ONE." This guitar has issues including... The fingerboard is replaced. The top is either refinished to a major degree or oversprayed. BUT the guitar is easy to play and sounds great, as usual.
