According to me, the Gibson Firebird is the coolest Gibson guitar design ever.  A white Firebird is even cooler.
This example from 1991 is a beauty.  Unlike some later iterations, it retains the classic look of 60s and 70s models, right down to the "banjo" tuners.

This design is prone to headstock breaks, though this particular one is free of any breaks or repairs.
The previous owner, Willy Roland - a Bay Area artist -  took very good care of the guitar, and he had it set up for slide.  The frets show the lightest wear as a result.

When touring one summer in support of Johnny Winter, Willy had Johnny sign the guitar.

“Willy Roland is making a Northwest Montana appearance on Feb. 29th, 9 p.m. at the new Point Spread Lounge. Roland, from New York, is a rock, pop, blues, singer-songwriter, who has played guitar since the age of 6. By the time Roland was 16, he was already playing night clubs throughout New York City. Willy Roland moved to California in his early 20's where he made a big splash in the Bay Area music scene, playing all the top clubs & playing with numerous top musicians, including The John Lee Hooker Band's bassist, Chuck Trujillo & the legendary Blues guitarist, Johnny Winter. In fact, Willy is currently opening for & touring with Johnny Winter. This is their fifth tour together.”

This is an excellent playing guitar with no repairs or issues.  We re-set the action and restrung it with 10-46 strings, bringing the action down to a new low.  The truss rod was checked - there is room for future neck relief adjustments.

Everything on the guitar is original and no solders are disturbed.  The back of the neck pickup looks a little funny, but I determined that it is in fact stock and has not been messed with.  That was the only thing in question as we dug into the guitar.

The original case is included, which is nice, because Gibson finally got the case right.  Earlier versions always allowed the high E tuner to bottom out in the case, the likely cause for most Firebird headstock breaks.
