1965 Gibson Firebird I Sunburst
Sunburst, nice and clean. A cool example because it’s resonant and clean with only light finish checking and a few dings. Looking good for a 60 year old classic. All stock with a 1 9/16” nut on Brazilian Rosewood fretboard, nickel kluson tuners and bridge pickup screws. The frets are in great shape with almost no wear.
This has been in a rather famous studio for the last 15 years or so and taken out on occasion. It was purchased for its tone. We know because we sold it to the studio owner. Has the original P-90 pickups. The bridge pickup measures 8.12K and the neck is 7.92K. Is a one-piece old-growth Honduran Mahogany body and a one-piece mahogany neck. Has no breaks and is set up well. Comes with the original square hard case with pajama interior.
