1961 Gibson ES-335 Sunburst

Very early 1961 (still has the "A" serial) ES-335 dot neck. Mint. Seriously. If I polished up the nickel hardware, you would think it was new. No wear, no checking, no mods, no nuthin'. Just a nearly perfect example of a dot neck 335. Even the case is as clean as I've ever seen (and I've seen a lot of them). Sealed PAFs, wide slim neck, original tuners and tips. Beautiful Brazilian rosewood board with original frets showing almost no wear. I have not seen a cleaner dot neck in all the years I've been selling 335's (over 600 to date). It's going to be more expensive than the average 61 but the average 61 doesn't look like this one. OK, it looks great but how does it play? One word...excellent. Aggressive but not nasty. It will do mellow with no muddiness. Well balanced pair of pickups that will roar when you want it but show great manners when you don't.
