1959 Gibson ES-335 Sunburst

Incoming. Mid year 1959 ES-335 in sunburst. There are a few distinct varieties of 59 335 and all of them are consistently excellent. The early ones with the huge neck, the later ones with the medium neck, thin 3 ply tops and thicker 4 ply tops, variations in neck angle and, of course, Bigsby and stop tail. Each has its strong points but I've never had a bad 59 (and that's out of more than 100). This is a mid year so it has the medium neck, "normal" neck angle and the 4 ply top. This the most common of the 59 types and, I think, the most consistent in tone and playability. There is player wear to the neck at the cowboy chord area and finish checking indicating that it hasn't spent its life in the case. I will measure the neck and pickups and price it once it arrives.
