Description

Offered for sale:

Vintage 1968c Gibson ES-330TDC serial number 360305.

According to the most reliable Gibson serial number lists 360305 falls into the 1965 range. This isn’t the first time we have seen exceptions to this list. In this case the rare Sparkling Burgundy finish was an option from ‘67 thru ‘69.

This guitar is in cosmetically fair to good condition. It is a real-life living relic, showing finish wear and extensive checking. At the upper bout, treble side, a bit of the Sparkling Burgundy is taking on a golden hue. There are nicks and chips and marks of every nature about the body and the neck.

Neck is straight, truss rod works fine and frets have plenty of life. These non-original frets are tall like a jumbo but not as wide. Except for frets and pick guard, it is all original.

The original 1966 Gibson sales brochure spells it out:

“A wonderful instrument with a truly magical tone with twin adjustable pickups. The double cutaway body and thin silhouette make it wonderfully easy to play.”

“Features: Constructed from the finest Curly Maple and Rosewood. Chrome-plated metal parts. [Obviously we can’t attest to the “Curliness”.] Slim, fast, low-action neck joins the body at the 16th fret. One-piece Mahogany neck, adjustable Truss Rod. Rosewood fingerboard, pearl dot inlays. Adjustable Tune-O-Matic bridge. Powerful pick-ups with individually adjustable pole-pieces. Separate tone and volume controls. Three-position toggle switch to activate either or both pick-ups. 16” wide, 1 ¾” thin; 24 ¾” scale, 22 frets.”

Imperial Guitar says: One hell of a guitar!!! Why am I selling it?

Hard shell case included.

We carefully inspect every instrument when we buy it and bring it up to our standards before we offer it for sale. We also do a full set up before we ship.

If you decide to purchase this guitar, please let us know what gauge strings you prefer.

*Please note: we do our best giving descriptions of used pieces.

We have found it difficult to describe (and sometimes impossible to photograph) every single mark/blemish/imperfection on an instrument or amp that we offer.

Also, what's important to you may not be important to someone else. For example, you may say, "I don't care what it looks like as long as it plays or sounds well." Another person may say, "Body cosmetics are very important to me so tell me about every scratch, nick and blemish."

So, please ask the questions that are most important to you. If you ask, they will be answered. They are free and there's no limit. Additional photos can also be made available.

This is a specific item that is also being offered for sale in our brick & mortar location. It is possible that it has just been sold. Please ask if it is still available before purchasing.

*It is our policy to require a signature on delivery of all musical instruments. Please let us know if you prefer no signature required when ordering or we will automatically require a signature.

If you prefer your item to be sent without a required signature Imperial Guitar and the selected carrier can no longer be responsible for the security of the package once it has been delivered.
