Description
Summary: The Gibson ES-330 is a fully hollow double cutaway, meaning it lacks the center wood block found on its semi-hollow body counterpart, the ES-335. Also, in contrast to the 335, the 330 was built with a pair of P-90 pickups as opposed to humbuckers. The actual model number of this guitar is the ES-330TDW: the TDW stands for thin, double pickup, Walnut. This ES-330 TDW is referred to as a “long neck” since they extended the neck joint a little further out in ‘67 making the higher frets much more accessible. The two original P90 pickups sound fantastic, and it is in excellent vintage condition. It has just been set up by our in-house luthier and it ships in its original Gibson hard-shell case.
Body: The arched hollow-body features a bound maple top and back, mahogany sides and a Walnut finish.
Neck: The mahogany neck joins the body at the 19th fret, has a bound rosewood fingerboard with block inlays, 22 frets, 24 ¾” scale length and 1 9/16” nut width.
Pickups/Hardware: Two original P90 pickups, two volumes, two tones, top hat knobs, tune-o-matic bridge, trapeze tailpiece, original Kluson Deluxe tuning keys, and three-way toggle.
Cosmetics: This Gibson is in great vintage condition. This guitar has a few nicks, dings, and scratches throughout. The frets have some noticeable wear (See Photos Please). The entire guitar has beautiful checking in the finish. Overall, this guitar is great condition and plays and sounds fantastic.
Playability: Our in-house luthier has just inspected, set up, and restrung this guitar with a new set of strings, and it is playing beautifully with low action and a straight neck.
Weight: 5.755 lbs.
Case: This guitar ships in its original Gibson case, professionally packaged, and fully insured.
