Now available on consignment, an original 1977 Gibson EDS1275 in white!
Here is something you don't see everyday, an original example of an EDS1275 double neck Gibson from the 70s.
This particular example was owned by Australian musician Ian Miller, an established producer and guitarist here in the 1970s onwards who has now passed unfortunately.
Ian worked with names such as John Paul Young, Joe Walsh, Skunk Baxter, Randy Jackson, Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Wright, and many more! He also played this guitar as well, with photos to be found online of Ian playing this very guitar live.
The guitar remains in pretty decent shape, with some work to note:
The body only has overspray over the original white finish, there is no finish work on the neck.
The pickup covers have been replaced, as have the knobs and strap buttons.
Otherwise the guitar retains its most of its original parts including both ABR-1 bridges, Gibson deluxe tuners, 4x patent # pickups, and the original wiring with all 4x CTS pots dating to the 6th week of 1977. Both necks are in good shape with fully functional truss rods, and NO breaks or repairs. There is some hanger rash on both, however this is just cosmetic.
The original frets do have some wear however it plays very well thanks to a recent setup.
A rare opportunity to get an original Gibson EDS1275 in Australia, and with some great history to boot!
Includes its original purple lined Gibson case, this includes some photos of Ian with the guitar.
