For Sale: 1999 Gibson Dwight Yoakam Signature Model, One-Owner, Mint with OHSC.

This is a Gibson Dwight Yoakam Signature Model from 1999 (April 13,1999 build date), Number 009 of only 100 made. This is a cool looking guitar based upon the J-180. Dwight signed the label.

This is a one-owner guitar purchased at Mars Music in Tampa when they were going out of business in 1999. The guitar is in Mint condition aside from some very minor finish checking at the corners of the mustache bridge. It's all original except the nut was replaced with a TUSQ XL Jumbo Gibson-style nut.

This is a super-high quality Gibson USA build with spectacular woods. The wood on this guitar is some of the most attractive I've seen on an acoustic with flamed maple sides and back, and the top is sitka spruce. The back has a great piece of binding-work between the two pieces of curly maple. The fingerboard is rosewood with Gibson’s traditional crown inlays. The solid, high-quality tuners are gold & pearl, as are the strap-buttons (gold). This guitar also features the twin-tortoise-shell pick-guards associated with the series. The Headstock is inlaid with the crown and Gibson logo.

Finally, the bridge is really a special part of this guitar. There are many J-180’s out there, but most that you’ve seen have a block, rosewood bridge. This actually has the traditional, beautifully inlaid J-200 mustache bridge which allows the top to resonate more, transferring more sound from the strings to the body. This is a beautifully crafted piece of history made in Bozeman, Montana. Also features Dwight's signature on the internal label inside the sound hole.
