Gibson Custom Shop 2022 Murphy Lab Tak Matsumoto 1955 Les Paul Gold Top Ultra Light Aged
This is B'z guitarist Takahiro Matsumoto's signature model, the ‘Tak Matsumoto 1955 Les Paul Gold Top Ultra Light Aged’.
This model was produced in limited quantities and is a reproduction of his own 1955 Les Paul, which was modified from a P-90 to a two humbuckers.
The body back and sides are also gold-colored, with a wrap-around tailpiece, and the Ultra Light Aged finish replicates a vintage guitar that has been carefully stored in a case that shows weather checks and minor damage.
The clear topcoat has been applied over the peeling paint on the back of the neck, just as on his own instrument.
The neck shape is the slightly narrower "Authentic '59 Medium C-Shape" used on the current Historic Collection models, and the pickups are equipped with BurstBucker Pro.
It has Grey Tiger capacitors, which are not used on regular Historic Collection models, and the strap is the original locking type.
The guitar shows little signs of wear, with no fret wear, and the neck and truss rod are both in good condition.
