Gibson Custom Shop 2005 Historic Collection Byrdland Reissue Split Inlay

This custom-ordered "Byrdland" features a split parallelogram inlay not found on regular models.

Created by Nashville session players Billy Byrd and Hank Gerlandt in collaboration with the Gibson Custom Shop, the Byrdland was the forerunner of the Thinline Series.

The body and neck are made of the finest flamed maple, and it has a Venetian cutaway body that is much thinner than the "L-5" body shape, a short scale of 23.5 inches (596 mm), and a thin neck shape.

The pickups are a pair of 57 Classic pickups.

The nut has been replaced.

The tuners have been replaced and the screw holes have been filled.

There is a relatively large dent on the top (around the side of the fingerboard), a stand mark on the back of the neck, some color fading on the binding at the end of the body, some light paint damage around the tailpiece and the 6th string side f-hole, and some scuffs around the head.

The frets have been rubbed and there is about 70% remaining. The neck and truss rod are both in good condition.
