This 1999 Gibson Custom Shop Histric Collection 1959 Les Paul Reissue commemorates the 40th anniversary of the release of the original 1959 Les Paul Soundburst, with a revised look, paint, and other specification changes that make it even more perfect. Les Paul Reissue.
The long tenon neck joint used on the original 1959 Les Paul has been reproduced using the manufacturing method of the time, directly transmitting the current vibrations to the body and bringing out a wonderful sound. The use of holly for the veneer on the head top and other details show the attention to detail in the construction. The sound produced from high-quality mahogany wood is thick in the middle and can be used in all positions. In the rear position, the sound is trebly but does not feel thin and has a solid strength, and in the center, it has a small, smooth attack that goes well with cutting. The front position is thicker and thicker, and it is also very effective in solo parts. This Les Paul Leash model surpasses vintage Les Paul models with a sound that is expansive and deep.
