This is a 1959 Les Paul Reissue Aged model, aged by Tom Murphy.
The hard textured, one-piece flame maple top with flecks is finished in Sun Rise Tea Burst, and the aging process has reproduced moderate weather checks and dents, giving the guitar an outstanding vintage look that has gained character over the years.
The pickups are a different age Burstbacker #1 and the original Burstbucker #2, and both pickup covers have been replaced.
The tailpiece has also been changed. (Aluminum, manufacturer unknown).
There is some damage to the back, such as reddish discoloration and dents that are not due to the aging treatment.
The frets are very slightly dented around the low position of the plain strings, but overall there is about 80-90% remaining. The neck and truss rod are in good condition.
