Gibson Custom Shop 2023 Historic Collection 1959 Les Paul Gloss
This "1959 Les Paul Gloss" features a flamed maple top with a seagull-like flame pattern.
This factory burst color reproduces the strong reddish color of the time of factory shipment, and is finished with a gloss finish, which has become less common in recent years.
The hide glue and parts have been carried over from the True Historic series, and the headstock logo shape and silkscreen tint, fingerboard inlay material, vintage taper pot, and bumblebee type oil capacitors have been adopted from 2019.
The neck is an Authentic 59 Medium "C", a shape used since 2018 and very slightly thinner than earlier '59 models.
The pickups are equipped with un-potted Custombuckers.
There are several pockmarks and scuffs, mainly on the body back, a dented scratch around the second fret of the neck grip, and uneven paint transfer on the binding.
The frets are only slightly worn at the low position of the plain strings, and there are no problems with the neck or truss rod.
