This 1999 “1959 Les Paul Reissue Aged” model was produced to commemorate the 40th anniversary of 1959.

This is the first year of the highly regarded aged model, and Tom Murphy's aging process has created an outstanding look that beautifully reproduces the weather checks and minor scratches that occur as the instrument ages.

The hard maple top with flecks has a deep grain that changes expression depending on the angle, and two original 57 Classic pickups are installed.

There are many damages on the back of the body and around the perimeter that are not original Aged finish such as dents and scratches, and there is one slightly deep dent near the 9th fret of the neck grip.

The reddish color on the back of the neck and side backs of the body has almost faded, and the original reddish color remains around the body end, so there are some uneven colors.

The frets are about 80% full with no dents, and the neck and rod are in good condition.
