Gibson Custom Shop 2012 Inspired by Series Dickey Betts SG Standard VOS “From One Brother to Another”
This model is a reissue of the '61/'62 SG owned by Dickey Betts, an original member of the Allman Brothers Band.
It is Limited edition of 250 pieces in "VOS" finish.
This guitar is also known as "From One Brother to Another" because it was given to Duane Allman, his bandmate, and was used in the famous "At Fillmore East" album.
The guitar has been meticulously replicated its original form, including the replacement of the Schaller tuners, brass toggle knobs, plastic bridge saddle, 1-ply rod cover, and thin, low "banjo" frets.
The neck has a thin shape that feels slightly wide in the hand and is equipped with two Custombucker pickups.
The reddish color of this model often fades with age, but this one has retained its reddish color.
There are several scratches and scuffs on the body top, a relatively shallow and narrow buckle mark on the body back (around the side of the back panel), many scratches, and several dents on the body sides and edges.
There are no dents on the frets, and the neck is in good condition with about 80-90% fret remaining overall.
The truss rod is slightly tightened, but there is no problem with its effectiveness as it is now.
