Gibson Custom Shop 2011 Ace Frehley "Budokan" Les Paul Custom Aged
This is the ‘Ace Frehley Budokan Les Paul Custom Aged’ model, produced in a limited edition of 100 pieces.
It is a reproduction of the Les Paul Custom used by Ace Frehley on his 1977 Japan tour and features a 3-piece Maple top, bright Cherry Sunburst, square Glover pearloid knobs, speed knob and other specs.
Screw hole marks from tuner replacement, strap pin replacement marks, screw hole marks around the rod cover, head crack repair marks, paint peeling, and the scratches location have been meticulously reproduced just like on the original guitar.
As in the early 1970s specs, the body has a pancake structure with maple in between, and the slim shaped neck is 3-piece mahogany with a volute.
The pickups are a Dimarzio PAF in the neck and centre, and a Dimarzio Super Distortion in the bridge, with the neck and centre being dummies and only the bridge wired as on the model he used.
The neck and truss rod are in good condition, with almost no fret wear.
