2021 Gibson Custom SG Standard Reissue 2021 Vintage Cherry
A late 60's Gibson SG was my first humbucker guitar some 50 years ago and one of the primary gigging instruments of my youth. Back then I was looking for the Gibson sound to compliment my Tele, but even then I couldn't deal with the weight and price of the LP's of that era. To this day, the SG remains a guitar that evokes many positive memories for me and remains a model that I am quite fond of and invest in often. Offered here is another fabulous example, a '61 SG Standard Reissue completed in August, 2021.
This beautiful SG is made from a gorgeous slab of mahogany, weighs just 6 pounds, 8 ounces and is nicely balanced strapped on. The relatively wide-feeling SG neck measures .805" at the first fret increasing to .950" at the 12th which is about average for Custom Shop SG's. It plays like butter and the Custombucker pickups sound like an SG should. Check out the brief sound sample provided below. If you like SG's, you will absolutely love this example!
This 2021 guitar is in "excellent minus" condition with just a couple of light dings as shown in the close-up photos, the typical VOS oxidation on the hardware, a bit of stain bleed on the neck binding and very light scratching on the pickguard. These flaws are nearly imperceptible unless you really look for them and more importantly, the frets look like new. It comes in it's original case (in great condition), along with the certificate of authenticity and other paperwork.

Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery.
