1984 Garfield Mini Doc Clock / Gate / Arpeggiator / Tape Sync Unit (RARE)

Sync almost any machine to almost any other without MIDI. Sync to tape or DAW. One of the most useful tools for the analog enthusiast.

The Mini Doc accepts almost any clock input — 12/24/48/96 PPQ, Roland D-Sync, and even audio inputs and click tracks — and outputs multiple clock formats (D-Sync, 12/24/48/96/64/384 PPQ, standard click) for syncing nearly any vintage synth or drum machine setup. Using an audio input, you can even sync and/or trigger your machines with an instrument or live drum track.

The unit also features two channels of arpeggiator/gate trigger outputs that can be set to any of multiple note divisions, from 1/1 to 1/32 note, including triplets. Either or both channels can be flipped to the off-beat with the Invert switch. This means you can have two different arpeggiators dancing with each other, create interesting faux delay effects with multiple machines, trigger any other machines or samples with any note division, set two arps left and right for a bouncing effect… basically anything you can dream up.
