This 1964 Fender Vibroverb AB763 is one of the most iconic and sought-after vintage amps from the blackface era—featuring the original AB763 circuit, a powerful 40-watt all-tube design, and a warm, full-bodied tone driven through a single 15-inch speaker. Revered for its deep, dimensional reverb and rich optical tremolo, the Vibroverb delivers the unmistakable Fender sound with enhanced low-end response, making it a favorite among blues, surf, and country guitarists.
This first-year blackface Vibroverb includes original transformers, classic black panel cosmetics, and components that contribute to its authentic tone and rising collector value. The large-format 15" speaker provides smooth lows and articulate highs, making this amp a standout for single-coil or humbucker pickups alike. With limited production numbers and a legendary tone profile, the 1964 Fender Vibroverb is a true holy grail amp for serious players and collectors.
The amp was professionally serviced prior to its arrival here. The new electrolytic caps were installed inside the sleeves of the original parts for an authentic look. The original parts are included. A grounded power cable was added as well.
The 15" Jensen C15NS speaker is from the 3rd week of 1965. It would be a true rarity for this to be the original speaker for this amp. I assume it is not. It does sound awesome however! I do have a JBL D130 that I could include in place of the Jensen. There is a rip in the original cone, which I patched. It is stable.
The amp runs strong and quiet. We cleaned the pots, tube sockets and jacks and tested the tubes, which all are US made GEs that contribute to the amazing tone of the amp.

Shipping policy:
When you purchase this item you are hereby agreeing to this shipping policy. We remove tubes from amps that could be damaged in shipping. We remove the chassis from some amps so that the large transformers don't damage a chassis or cabinet. These cases result in multiple box shipments, and they require the buyer to do some assembly on delivery. We do this because we have experienced shipping issues in the past, and this is our prevention measure. Vintage amps are sold as-is because they can need service intermittently. Everything is tested here in our shop on the way into our inventory, and again before shipping. We will cover shipping damage, but we cannot be responsible for the failure of vintage components in 20-to-50-plus year old amps. Shipments will require signature on delivery, no exceptions. If there is damage, the buyer must retain all packing materials intact and picture them immediately and send them to sales@maharsvintageguitars.com. Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely, but we are taking these additional measures to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
Buyer to pay prior to shipment via Paypal, wire transfer, credit card or other electronic means. Payment must clear before shipping. Certified checks and trades are accepted, however checks must clear before we will ship and trades must be received here and evaluated prior to shipment of our item.
All orders ship within three business days of the receipt of an order, usually faster. Tracking information will be automatically forwarded to all buyers. Buyers must retain all shipping materials in the event a return is necessary.
Returns accepted if the purchaser responds within 48 hours of receipt of an item and there is a discrepancy relating to the condition or originality of an item. Returns are not accepted for items that do not meet the needs or sonic tastes of clients due to the subjective nature, unless such concern is stated prior to the purchase. Any return for reasons other than incorrect advertising of condition or originality on the part of Mahar's Vintage Guitars shall be the responsibility of the buyer, which shall result in the buyer paying all shipping costs (to and from) their location.
