Description

Here's an original pre-owned 2020 Fender USA American Original '70s Telecaster Custom in original White finish.

This is really a lot of guitar for the money. Feels and plays just like a real 1970s Tele Custom.

Guitar is light and resonant and really a good example.

All original with some honest signs of wear and deluxe Fender Hardshell case.

70S TELECASTER CUSTOM appeared in the American Original series
With the dawn of the 70's, popular music was becoming mainstream with fat sounds played by humbuckers with overdriven amp sounds.
Fender has hired legendary pickup designer Seth Lover to develop a high-output dual-coil pickup.
The result was a Wide Range pickup with a large bobbin and a threaded CuNiFe magnet.

This pickup was installed in iconic models that symbolized the 70's such as Telecaster Custom, Telecaster Deluxe, Telecaster Thinline, and Starcaster, and became one of the points that characterized Fender products at the time.
When production of these models ended in 1979, the Kunife magnet pickup disappeared.

The American Original '70s Telecaster Custom is a model that revived the Kunife Magnet Wide Range pickup for the first time in 40 years.
The bridge features a '70s Telecaster single-coil pickup designed by Tim Shaw.
Each pickup has its own volume/tone control and is equipped with a 3-way toggle switch to switch pickup positions. It faithfully reproduces the body radius, hardware styling, and body finish of the time.
