Description

Offered is this all original 1969 Fender Telecaster, serial number 289767.

This guitar has a blonde “see through” finish over an ash body. It has a one-piece maple neck with a walnut “skunk stripe” covering the truss rod channel. The neck is a medium “C” with depth measurements of .858” at the first fret increasing to .955” at the twelfth fret. It has a 7.25” fretboard radius and a 1-5/8” nut. The previous owner had the original frets crowned and polished and they remain in excellent condition. This guitar has a total weight of just 7.4 pounds.

The wiring on this guitar is all original and the solder joints remain unmolested. The CTS pots date to the 34th week of 1966. The original “black bottom” pickups sound great and have outputs of 6.73 ohms at the neck and 6.50 ohms at the bridge.

The previous owner had a set of compensated brass string saddles installed, but the original steel saddles are included. The guitar comes in its original hardshell case along with case key, the “ash tray” bridge cover and the original string saddles.

This guitar remains in exceptional condition for its age with just a few scrapes on the edges as shown in the included photos. It plays superbly and sounds like a vintage Tele should. Please check out the brief sound sample included below.

This is a particularly nice example of a vintage CBS-era Telecaster. Click ‘Buy Now’ and make it yours today. You will be very glad you did!
