Description

This is a super cool vintage Fender Jazz Bass from 1970! This is a great, original example that showcases why Fender's basses of this era are so sought after and still reissued to this day.

This bass does show quite a bit of cosmetic wear as you would expect from a vintage instrument. This includes various surface scratches, scuffs, dents, and chips throughout the body with additional various dents along the back of the neck and headstock. The nitro finish has plenty of imperfections particularly along the sides of the body and upper and lower horns. The binding around the neck is pretty scuffed and shows areas of discoloration from aging. The hardware also shows some tarnish from over time as well. The frets definitely have some normal play wear for their age, with some minor fret buzz up on the higher frets past the 17th fret. Overall, the bass plays decently well with medium high action. A shim has also been added to the neck pocket for a better neck angle.

The bridge cover is missing, otherwise this bass appears to be original.
